In addition to my base pay, I received per diem, time away from base pay, performance bonuses, and customer feedback survey incentives. I can say without hesitation that I'm a pretty greedy individual, and I ALWAYS want more, but working for Delta I was truly satisfied with every paycheck. The compensation and benefits are second to NONE. If you are one of the few lucky individuals to become employed by Delta Air Lines, you WILL be well taken care of. Once federal mandates get flexible and airfare rises back up again I would say its worth the shot on joining the team. Covid is slowly becoming something we're all learning to live with because it doesnt seem to be going away any time soon so I will say that I do have hope things will slowly normalize and passengers will have a less aggressive demeanor towards all staff. Be prepared for the first two years to basically flying weekends and holidays. Holding the schedule you want can take time to learning the bidding system and having the seniority to hold the trips you want. Training ties you really close with your co-workers so it can feel like flying with friends but in the inverse is if you don't get along, three day trips can be torture.
